
The city of Florence is the capital of Tuscany, a region in central Italy. The city is situated on the top of a river called Arno and is known for interesting history, art and architecture. Over a period of five years, from 1865 to 1870, it was also declared the capital of Italy. The City of Florence is a part of the World Heritage Site since 1982.
Florence is one of the most attractive tourist destinations in Italy mainly because of its cityscape. The reason why the Florence Cityscape is so special is because since the sixteenth century, it has lured artistic masters like Leonardo da Vinci and till the 21st century, mesmerizes every tourist that visits.
Some of the major attractions of the city are the Duomo, the Florentine skyline, the Loggia dei Lanzi, and many more. The Duomo is the city cathedral in Florence. The Palazzo Vecchio Tower is another skyline Icon or a bell tower that has an outstanding appeal to it. The Ponte Vecchio, of the 14th century is another landmark that adorns the cityscape of Florence.
The Florence Cityscape is also known for its artistic past. Almost all great Italian artists belonged to this city. The entire city lights up during the evening like a beautiful painting on canvas. Most visitors to Florence come mainly to experience the history, the museums, and the culture normally associated with this centrally located Italian city.
